Our first app is the Shoulder AR-throscopy. It is available on Android from the Google Play Store and iOS on the Apple App Store. Search in your device for “MAVRIC Shoulder”.
The AR-throscopy app is divided into 2 stages of learning.
Understanding: The full content will load on the phone and can be navigated using the touch screen. If you wish to use the optional advanced features of augmented reality, then the marker will need to be downloaded and printed. You can get the marker immediately by signing up to our mailing list. If you wish to use the app in VR binocular mode, then you will need to purchase a pair of VR googles.
Hand-Eye Co-ordination (Technical Skills): Our app uses the rear-facing camera to recognise our markers. Attaching our markers onto mock instruments allows our app to perform motion tracking. To be able to perform motion tracking accurately, we would recommend purchasing a mobile phone stand and 2 x handles.
