Please ensure the following latest software versions are downloaded on your Android phone and/or tablet:

  1. MAVRIC Shoulder AR-throscopy
  2. Google “Home”
  3. “Inkwire”

1. Setup the tablet at a comfortable height to mimic the screen as if it was  on the arthroscopic stack.

2. [ANDROID PHONE] Connect your phone to a local full access Wi-Fi hotspot. *Please note this requires FULL Wi-Fi (Wi-Fi signal in hospitals, hotels, etc which has a login or acceptance screen will not work).

3. Place the AR-throscopy Kit or Simulator Box on a table that is at a comfortable height to perform simulated arthroscopy.

4. Make sure the AR markers are not in a shadow and place the phone in a position that is stable and clearly viewing the AR markers. We would strongly advise purchasing a phone stand for this purpose.

5. [ANDROID PHONE] Increase screen brightness to the maximum setting (Settings > Display > Brightness).

6. [ANDROID PHONE] Launch “Inkwire” app.

7. [ANDROID PHONE] Click “Share” in the top purple half screen to share this Android for another user to see.

8. [ANDROID PHONE] Make a note of the generated 12-digit access code.

9. [ANDROID TABLET] Increase screen brightness to the maximum setting (Settings > Display > Brightness).

10. [ANDROID TABLET] Launch “Inkwire” app.

11. [ANDROID TABLET] Click “Access” in the bottom white half screen to see a shared Android.

12. [ANDROID TABLET] Enter the 12-digit access code generated earlier on the phone and click “access”.

13. [ANDROID TABLET] Tablet should show phone screen.

14. [ANDROID PHONE] Tap AR-throscopy app.

15. You are ready to go!
